16/08/17 Start of the Reservoir Project in Morocco
WISE Welfare is working this Ramadaan to kick of the building of reservoir out of steel and concrete in the region Timazojin Kabdana, Morocco. Currently the local people in the region only have access to a water tap which is 8km from its source and water is only made available twice a week and there is nowhere to store the water during this period of tap activation. The community is left with very limited water for 5 days a week as a result and is in dire need of a solution to the ongoing problem.

The regions of MAYORO and NAKOLOG in the Kasena Nankana District of the upper east region have been identified as regions requiring urgent aid. These are poor Muslim communities who lack basic facilities. Islam is growing steadily with an approximate number of at least 300-400 in each of the communities. Nonetheless, they lack decent facilities such as prayer areas, irrigation and education.
Our volunteer also visits to oversee the project

The Blind Girls School in Pakistan is an amazing project aimed at providing housing, education and practical skills to blind girls across Pakistan. Unfortunately many blind children are outcasts, never getting an opportunity to develop skills and live a happy family life. This project is designed to give them the confidence and skills they need to to raise families, work professional jobs and actively benefit themselves and the wider community.

WISE Welfare distributed much needed aid to the region of Benin in Africa last Ramadhan. This year we plan to build 10 wells with the objective of providing fresh water. Benin is an area with many new Muslim reverts who need our ongoing support. Local WISE Welfare representatives last year spoke of the conditions in Benin and the great need for fresh water with most of the community relying on rainwater due to no continual water supply.

On Fri 21st April 2017 a group of intrepid explorers ventured forth on a two day mission to explore previously discovered countryside, to seek out already seen scenery, to climb ancient mountains, to engage in constant, incessant banter, to eat fantastic food, to appreciate Allah’s beautiful creation – to boldly go where many a man has gone before…
